The End of Time!

My eschatology:







What is going to happen?

1.  God will reign
“The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”  (Rev 11:15 NKJV)
There will be no rival systems, no rival kingdoms, no rival ideas—God will reign as KING.

2.  God’s wrath will be expressed… People’s wrath will be silenced.
“The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come.” (Rev 11:18 NKJV)
The world is a constant expression of false anger and wrath.  At the end of time…God’s wrath will prevail against all evil. 

3.  Pure justice will prevail.
“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty,
The One who is and who was and who is to come,
Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.
The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come,
And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, (Rev 11:17-18 NKJV)
All creation will bow to pure justice.  No more crookedness.  No more bullies.  There will only be—-Purity.  Integrity.  Justice.  Holiness.



4.  Righteous, faithful, believing, God-fearing people will be rewarded
“And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,  And those who fear Your name, small and great,
And should destroy those who destroy the earth.” (Rev 11:18b NKJV)
The millions who have suffered —both in small and large ways—will be exonerated.  God will reward everyone who suffered in any way because of their diligence, faith, love, and commitment to truth.


What an awesome future!  This is a future I want to be a part of!

Dumb Mistakes

      Dumb Mistakes   Why do Christians, pastors, leaders, ushers, —everyday Christians— make real dumb mistakes.  Now I am talking about real dumb moral mistakes—lying, cheating, immorality, thievery—-like why? Christine Pohl warns us as follows: “By compartmentalizing aspects of our actions or thoughts, we are able to ignore major inconsistencies and wrongdoing.” Ever heard yourself asking this question: ‘What was he thinking when he did that?’   You think of moral failure or just plain —dumb decisions—and you ask that question!   How does that happen?  What were they ‘thinking?’  Well, Pohl suggest “he wasn’t thinking he had stopped thinking and reflecting.  Instead, the person deliberately excluded a part of his or her life from spiritual and moral scrutiny.”   So now a word of help!  Do the daily examen!  (See.  https://pwcusick.blogspot.com/2020/04/the-examen.html )   If there ever was a culture, a time, a season when Christians need to act like Christians —it is now!   The ancie

Duh--What church should I attend?

Part # 3 of three Part Blog: Why go to church? What is the ‘church?’ How to find the right congregation? How to find the right congregation? A congregation is what we normally refer to as a church.  Here is the distinction I am making.   The Church; This is the one described in my previous blog… “what is the church.”  It is the timeless eternal body of believers. A Congregation: This is a local gathering of believers who are part of “The Church”. Think of it this way—-three levels: Level # 1-  THE CHURCH—the mystical eternal union of all believers.
