Getting everyone on the same page

John11: 49* And one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said, “How can you be so stupid?
50* Why should the whole nation be destroyed? Let this one man die for the people.”
51* This prophecy that Jesus should die for the entire nation came from Caiaphas in his position as high priest. He didn’t think of it himself; he was inspired to say it.

52* It was a prediction that Jesus’ death would be not for Israel only, but for the gathering together of all the children of God scattered around the world.

Are we missing the obvious?
There is only ONE way to get everyone on the same page!
Regardless of:

Ethnicity
Culture
Preference
Strengths
Weaknesses
Likes
Dislikes
Wants
Needs

"The ONE thing" you ask?  It is the death of Jesus.   The death of Jesus was/is for the "gathering together of all the children of God scattered around the world."

That is the one unifying action--the one unifying story.  No wonder Jesus said: Joh 12:32* And when I am lifted up on the cross, I will draw everyone to myself.”

I want to be drawn to the cross--do you?
Let's meet at the foot of the cross.  Why there?

11. The Ground Is Level At The Foot Of The Cross
(Tim Stafford/Daniel House Music, BMI)
CH)  If you measure the gain, better count the cost, 'cause the ground is level at the foot of the cross
Take heart my brothers, in the world you're lost, but the ground is level at the foot of the cross
1)   You can judge your brother by his fortune's size, but we're all the same in the good Lord's eyes
You can judge your sister by the deeds she's done, but we're judged in Heaven by the carpenter's son
CH) If you measure the gain, better count the cost, 'cause the ground is level at the foot of the cross
Why gain the world if your soul's been lost?  Cause the ground is level at the foot of the cross
2)   Rich man, poor man, they all fade away, but they'll all be together on the judgment day
The Poor man's sittin' at the Lord's right hand, just rockin' in the bosom of Abraham
3)   There stood the sinner and the Pharisee, a-prayin' in the temple on the bended knee
One begged for mercy, to the Lord he cried, and he met his savior on the other side
4)   You must enter heaven as a humble man, cast away your burdens, take him by the hand
By the grace of Jesus and his holy blood, all sins are washed in the mighty flood
