“You’re Not Deaf—You’re Just Tuned Wrong”.

You must tune your spirit, your heart, your inner person to the frequency of Holy Spirit.

This is accomplished mainly by surrendering.  This surrendering is laying your own desires, wants, and wishes before the cross.   Remember Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV) “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Surrendering takes you to the other side of pain and discomfort. Jesus, “for the joy set before him,” endured and surrendered. You must learn to see that ‘other side’ and then recognize that the bridge to cross is the bridge of surrender. The more you surrender, the more you tune your spirit to the frequency of the Holy Spirit. It is not a one-time act; it is a way of life. You keep surrendering repeatedly. Over time, you become very ‘good’ or ‘capable’ of surrendering, which increases your ability to hear the voice of the Spirit.

We too often miss the voice of the Spirit —not because He is not speaking, but because we are not listening, for we are on a different frequency.  We are on our own frequency of power, position, status and success.

“What Lord am I needing to surrender today?”
